We often forget to appreciate the things we become used to—the ability to see, to feel, to enjoy simple yet extraordinary moments like a sunrise. Even paying our bills can be a moment of gratitude. It might not be easy at times, but it still reflects that we have choices:
Do I want petrol in my car?
Do I want to pay my electricity bill?
Do I want to spend money today on something for myself or on groceries to make dinner?

Thank you Universe / God for giving me the opportunity to pay my electricity bill today.
Thank you for the food on my table that will feed my family and me.
Thank you for the time I have for myself.
